As we travel to The American Dietetic Association’s annual meeting for food and nutrition professionals (FNCE) in San Diego, Calif., we are extremely proud of our employees and their accomplishments in the industry in 2011.
Four Sodexo employees received top honors this year and were recognized by their respective ADA state affiliate chapters as Young Dietitians of the Year. These awards are given in each state to one RD under 35 years of age who has demonstrated leadership in the profession of dietetics. Sodexo’s recipients are:
Beth Howardson, Medical College of Georgia (GA)
Stephanie Selzler, Billings Clinic (MT)
Tonya Turner, Medical University of South Carolina (SC)
Ashley Kim, University Place (IN)
In addition, Betty Maloof from Sodexo’s Southcoast Dietetic Internship Program in Massachusetts also was recognized as an Emerging Dietetic Leader by the ADA. This honor recognizes individuals for contributions within the first five years of their career.
Lorna Fuller RD, a member of Sodexo’s Clinical Recruitment team, will pass the baton as a 2011 ADA Diversity Leader to Jennifer Acevedo RD LDN, who will serve in this role for 2012. Jennifer is currently a Clinical Nutrition Manager for Sodexo at Easton Hospital in Pennsylvania. This is a great honor and one that is near and dear to our heart as Sodexo is a world leader in Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.
