I’ve been Sodexo’s IST Communications Manager for nearly 3 years, but still consider myself a rookie. Thanks to a wicked learning curve, I’ve come a long way in a short time. But making the switch from Health Care communications for a local company to technology communications for a global organization pushed me way outside my comfort zone.
In fact, I thought I blew my initial interview at Sodexo when I was asked, “How technology savvy are you?” Compared to my IT coworkers, I’m a novice. But it is incredibly fulfilling to take complicated messages and find just the right words to get people to pay attention.
I am still amazed by Sodexo’s healthy corporate culture. From the top down, Sodexo encourages new ideas and celebrates diversity of thought. In technology, when a team tackles an issue, no one points fingers to place blame. Everyone rolls up their sleeves and works toward a common goal: to make everyday a better day for our users. How refreshing!

In her role as the IST Communications Manager, Beth Lasky creates communications that support innovation and technology at Sodexo. These include messages for all stakeholders regarding new technology, application launches, and changes to the tools that help Sodexo employees do their jobs. Beth also manages internal communication for the NorAm IT Team. Beth's prior experience includes 25 years in the Health Care industry handling internal and provider communications. She most recently served as Community Relations Director for HealthNow New York where she managed their award winning community outreach and volunteer programs.
