You put the boom boom into my heart...
While I was pulling together this month's blog update - our blog eNewsletter - I realized I had not written about the Sodexo Careers mobile website yet.
Say what?! Can you imagine? One of the biggest projects year to date for us and I didn't even talk about it here on the Sodexo Careers blog? My bad.
Naturally, when I decided to write about Sodexo's mobile career site this morning the ultimate (not saying it was good) 80's song popped into my head. I say "naturally" because if you read this blog you know I like 80's songs and I'm often reminded of the good, the bad and the ugly songs of my youth. Today was no exception... anyone want to guess what song came to mind?
"Wake Me up Before You Go-Go," by WHAM!
The ultimate (again, not saying it was good) in 80's bands, right?
Let me explain why this song come to mind when I thought about our mobile careers site before you roll your eyes and groan too loudly. I thought of this song because our mobile site is mobile meaning you can learn more about a job at Sodexo on the GO (-go)!
We wanted to make it easy for candidates to find a job at Sodexo anytime and anywhere and one solution was for us to go (-go) mobile. Candidates can not only learn about our company culture, or our personal and professional benefits, meet our people, and search open positions at Sodexo, they can also find ways to network with our recruiters through mobile social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter YouTube, and Linkedin. And when you get to our mobile site you'll find it easy to navigate on multiple devices with "Search Jobs" appropriately your first search option.
So the next time you're on the go (-go) visit us on the web on your iPhone, Blackberry, or Palm and then let us know what you think.
I promise it won't "leave you hanging on like a yo-yo!"

Better late than never Kerry!
And congrats to you and the team on achieving yet another best practice.
Not only do you continue to "rock" in establishing new ways to connect with candidates, you have a knack for getting 80's songs stuck in my head...love it. ;-)
