In my experience there are two types of people... people who love this show and people who hate the show. I'm not ashamed to admit that I fall into the "love it" category. I think I love it so much because the lives of the women who "star" in the show are so different from my own life and I am fascinated by their lifestyles and their behavior. Fascinated.
What do these so called "housewives" have to do with Sodexo? Not much and yet more than you'd imagine.
The reason women (& men?) enjoy the show so much is because we get a glimpse inside a lifestyle that is different from our own. Each week, these women let us into their lives to learn more about their homes, families, and dirty laundry. Note - their dirty laundry is not the kind of dirty laundry that I have (as in socks and underwear). Each week, I learn more about these women than I should care to know and yet I'm left with an appetite for more. They are as transparent as transparent can be.
Transparency is one of those social media buzzwords, right? Transparency is what we (as in Sodexo's Talent Acquisition Team) is striving for in our employment branding through social media marketing. We want our candidates to have a glimpse into our company culture, get to know us, and most important trust us. Our honesty is (hopefully) what candidates appreciate most about our all social spaces. Real stories by real people - who's tired of hearing me say this? Can't help it. It's true. You want to know what it's like to work for Sodexo? Well, then meet our people and read their stories.
You want to know what it's really like to work at Sodexo? Then leave us a message on our Facebook page and see who responds. We read your comments - the key word being "we." We, as in the entire Talent Acquisition Team. We are reading. You're not going to get a generic response from someone named "Sodexo Careers." Oh wait... sometimes you actually will see a response from someone named "Sodexo Careers" but, hey - that's me! But most often you will see responses from our senior recruiters who are working hard on the other end of the computer to respond to your specific inquiry.

These posts are written by who they say are they are written by not a ghost-writer trying to get the message "just right" with grammatical exactness. Our guest blog posts are authentic, honest, and not try to manipulate you into believing anything but the truth about our company culture.
I have to say it just one more time... real stories by real people. Just like the Real Housewives of New Jersey we're not afraid to let you into our lives.
