And we're not talking about the highly debated health care overhaul for a change. We're talking about voting for one of our own.
Arie Ball, VP for Sodexo's Talent Acquisition Team has been invited to participate at the upcoming South by Southwest Conference (SXSW) this March in Austin Texas but her attendance has not been officially added to the conference agenda yet. The South by Southwest Conferences & Festivals offer the unique convergence of original music, independent films, and emerging technologies. The emerging technologies portion of the conference features five days of compelling presentations from the brightest minds in emerging technology and an unbeatable line up of special programs showcasing the best new websites, video games and startup ideas the community has to offer.
No, Arie has not been asked to showcase her soulful singing ability - although I am sure it would be a great performance! And no, she's not being asked to participate for her film creativity. Arie has been invited to join the, "Managing the Corporate Social Media Program" panel . This panel will discuss how corporations, like Sodexo, monitor their brands (in our case our employment brand), listen and engage with customers (or in our case, candidates), and measure the ROI of social media. These panels are a great way to pick up essential ideas and Arie's expertise in social recruiting will help round out this panel in their discussion about online reputation management and community management. Arie will be joining Tony-Frosty Welch from HP, Michael Brito from Intel, Mario Sundar from Linkedin, and Shashi Bellamkonda from Network Solutions on this proposed panel. Panels are being voted on now and as with any "vote" those with the most "points" will be added to the conference agenda.
And that's where you come in. We need you to vote for this panel to make sure Arie and the others have the opportunity to share their expertise and insights at this conference. It only takes a minute to register and vote and while you're at it you can leave a comment to reinforce your vote. Remember, every vote counts!
Voting will close at 11:59 pm Central Standard Time on Friday, September 4th - you can Vote here!
