It's that time of year again when we start planning our summer activities. If you have children you are probably busy planning summer child care and camps and hopefully we are all getting ready for our vacations or staycations sometime this summer. If you are a student, you might be looking for or preparing for summer work or a summer internship. And if you are an intern with Sodexo not only did you start your internship today you are one of the lucky ones because your summer job is your internship with our paid internships.
Internship experience has always been viewed favorably by employers, but now they add an extra edge because many companies, like Sodexo, use internship programs as a method to recruit new talent. In other words, we want you to learn our business so we can hire you. Sodexo’s Future Leaders Internship Summer Program is a ten week paid summer internship program that runs from June through August. This program is designed to offer students the opportunity to gain management training and experience while working in the fast-paced and growth-charged contract services industry.
This afternoon I was lucky enough to take part in Sodexo's Future Leaders Internship virtual orientation. I spent 15 minutes introducing Sodexo Careers networking opportunities and encouraged them to reach out to current employees on Facebook and Linkedin and read our careers blog to learn more about the company and allow us to get to know them.
I have to say, I was impressed by this engaging group of interns. They were asking questions during the company over view and they were genuinely interested in learning more about Sodexo. I wish I could have gotten to know them a little better too but that wasn't on the agenda. So I am hoping they will take advantage of Sodexo Careers networking tools and share their internship experiences with future interns with guest blog posts and start to brand themselves for success. But most of all I hope all of our interns have fun and learn a lot before it's time to either return back to school or start their career - hopefully with Sodexo.

I participated on this call as a presenter as well and have to say that I am truly excited about this group of interns. They were very engaging and excited about the internship program. I wish them the best experience!
